Dato' Mustamir Mohamad

Dato' Mustamir Mohamad is currently the Managing Director of UMW Division. He was appointed as Chairman of Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd on 3rd January 2023.

 

Dato' Mustamir holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in Boston.

 

He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers London in 1995 and returned to Malaysia in 1999 to join Bank Negara Malaysia before joining Sime Darby Berhad in 2005. He held roles in strategic planning, corporate finance, and market intelligence.

 

Notably, he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer of Sime Darby Berhad from 2017 to 2023. His responsibilities included strategy formulation, investment evaluation, and mergers & acquisitions.
